Octopus Waters (Poem)

Octopus Waters

And he who loves must swim in Octopus Waters.
And he, who is hiding, should stay out of the waters.
The deeper you go there is no light, just a black
And blazing watery abyss
I could tell you how it is at the bottom
All who have loved and lost and keep loving, can.
I could tell you because I’ve been there.
Back then, until today I could tell you,
Because, I have been there…!
Nothing grows like on the moon, just darkness.
And the more you have loved, the darker it grows.
And still I choose to love and live
And swim in Octopus Waters.
God recognized me, woke me in the morning,
And then I came up for air, remote—
Ready to leap again, like a jackrabbit
Into those Octopus Waters,
Truly this had to be the final straw
And then we made a home
(And you can guess where)!
